Blimey!!

Despite being in agony and not being able to get on and off the bike very well I wanted to make the most of the sun today so went out for a brief bimble on the bike. First time riding with decent weather on decent roads.

Finding it quite painful to ride so just taking things nice and steady but BLIMEY this thing is mental

Having only really been riding the 620 on track and the KTM 950 on the road to suddenly get on a full sportsbike again has been a revelation for me!!

Minding your own business tootling in 4th gear and it's not even trying but clocking up 80-90mph with no effort.

Points I have noted are suspension really needs some work, back end is way to stiff and front is quite hard with rebound not helping.

I find I am still sitting too far forward so making an effort to move back in the seat. Looking forward ot getting the higher screen on to help with the wind as well.

Finding the throttle is a bit 'loose' - my best description, but probably thinking abut a quick action at some point.

Still want to get some rearsets as finding my feet feel quite low - I am sure this will be nice for longer distances but being used to a more track based set up it feels a bit too relaxed at the moment.

But.... all in all this thing is awesome... just a shame I am not. I managed to unintentionally pick the front up in 2nd on an overtake and keep it up through 3rd gear and 90mph.. I am sure it would have looked great, just a shame I was more of a passenger than driver

Now really looking forward to a dry ride when I am not in pain!!

Glad you are enjoying the new toy, Claire, even if limited by the pain. Hope you are recovered in time to enjoy Cadwell.

Only ridden an 's' once, and I agree with most of that. Slightly quicker action throttle and higher pegs would be one of my first mods.
I found the suspension pretty good as it was though, and since it was a demo bike I'd assume it was still set up as it left the factory... not too firm at all, I was riding on not the smoothest road around here and the bike went exactly where I pointed it, no running wide, no boucing, and so easy to feel what the tyres were up to.
The brakes on the demo were rubbish, but I think they just needed a bit of bleeding.
I had the same trouble with that front wheel leaving the ground whenever IT wanted to!

Good work soldier!

I like your style of 'running in' Claire and with an injury! You mentallist!
