600SS Replacement Exhaust

Hi, 'Long time reader, first time poster'

I've just become the proud owner of a 1999 Ducati 600SS.

I have sprung a leak on the mounting bracket so I guess it's time up upgrade to a 'performance' exhaust.

I have been looking at Quill, Scorpion and Viper so far, has anyone else had any experience with exhausts and lend me some advise.

Thanks
Dean

i myself have a viper on mine, cheap and cheerful and sounds nice, but and its a big BUT its a complete tw*t to fit, the connecting pipes for the cans are a fraction too small to fit over the downpipes so either get one made up or if you dont mind a bit of bodging you can make it fit but isnt that tidy.
i cut a number of slots in the end of the connecting pipe that goes over the downpipes and then blow torched the end and then forced the pipe over the downpipes (with a lot of persuasion) once cool wrapped an exhaust bandage to seal the join.
not the most text book solution but one of the cheaper ways to put a new race can on...

ok cheers, il remember that for next time david as going to be getting the 2:2 system finally in the next month or so and would be helpful, failing that i'l send the connecting pipes over to you as its bit of a commute to your neck of the woods.
on another note ive managed to sort the air mixture screw out and it now idles without the throttle sticking open now, brakes sorted and booked in on the dyno next friday. finally things are starting to get sorted now
