Members Bike - Beano's 1995 Ducati 600ss

Hi All
Have been owner of a 1995 Ducati 600ss for a month now.

Had bikes for years and ride a Pan to work(its ok I just turned 40) but I always like to have a `fun` bike as well. Got bored with my classic 2stroke and off roader, wanted a change but didnt know what. like I said had bikes since last year at school so done the sports bike, off road and Brit/Jap classic thing but could find anything that gave me that YEH WANT feeling ,then few months later saw a 1994 600ss at a race meeting and turn so fast I pulled muscle in my neck , thought `Yup that`ll do I want one` , I thought the older shape had a more simpler classic look to it.
Had a hunt around and found a very low mileage(under 10k) 600ss 1995 and its now in my garage cooling down after a nice 120mile blast around the block as I type.

I must be honest and say its nothing quite like anything I have ridden before and did not feel like it wanted to go round bends very well, but fitted different tyres and Im settling into her quite well now, although can still get round some fast corners quicker on my Pan at the moment(watch this space) Yes it is giving that silly grin fun thing, which really what its all about right? no matter what you ride.

The other thing I like about it so far is the simplicity of the design , 2mins fairings off and took no time at all to give it a service and strip brakes. Gives me more time to ride in my free time than ****ting about fixing it. Only job not done is the belts, got reciept from when they were done 6months ago so will be looking for a heads up next year for decent Ducati shop.

Anyway if you see a Red 600ss with twin stainless system popping round the area say hi, I have seen quite a few Ducati`s in the area last few weeks.
Oh and finaly they sound great dont they........

Ride Safe
Andy
