Getting it in is easy!!

My wheel bearings may have been a b*****d to get out but putting them was easy.
We all know about heating the wheel with a heat gun for a couple of minutes but a friend said put the bearings in the freezer for a while.
I put the bearings in the freezer for half an hour, then heated the wheel, they almost dropped into place with just a gentle tapping.
I hope this helps anyone doing this job?

had to take mine out ,but they had a notch in the spacer to put a drift punch made it a bit easier ,have you tried the swing arm bearings yet seem much harder.

Did this in a bar in Italy with a bowl of ice and a bowl of just boiled water. Clutch plate went in the hot water, bearing in the ice. 5 mins later tap, tap and it was seated perfectly and without fuss.

Duke of Earl, my spacer had a notch in it, the drift just started to cut into the spacer, the bearing on the opposite side of this was proper stuck, once one was out the other side tapped out quite easily.

Duc904red, great idea to use a large raw bolt, I was trying to design something that whould lock into the centre of a bearing and raw bolt already did it. Thanks for that, will by one in 3000 miles!!
