Hi Wreck's I put all the details; cost, dyno results and ride performance in This Thread. But to summarize it cost £250 (no discount), gave a 10% increase in torque in the mid-range, max bhp was 93 at 11,000rpm and has improved the performance in areas I didn't even know there was room for improvement, which includes making it easier around town.

Despite what you said on Saturday Dan about it only being a standard E 748, I think you have a bloody nice bike, which not only sounds good but now goes good as well (sorry about the poor use of the english language there)

Just had my wheels refurbished to get rid of the underlying corrosion under the paint.

So it had been over two and a half years since my belts were last done (the time of the ol' Blue Smoke problem) so time to get my belts done again.

I haven't managed to ride my 748 much this year as I've spent most of my time on my 600ss TRYING to race it in DesmoDue, however whenever I do manage to take the 748 for a spin it never fails to impress and they are no current issue with it, so the problem was simply where to take it? I'd decided to take it up to LouigiMoto in Bristol (not that Rich knew my intension), but then I heard through the Grapevine that JHP (Ducati Coventry) were doing a free pickup and return from South Devon, whilst I was on holiday in Greece, and all I had to do was take my bike around a mates who was also getting his bike done and stick the to-do list on the screen and JHP would take care of the rest. Sounded blimin' good to me!

So Belt change, Oil and Fuel Filter change, and an Oil change were the only things on my list, and yeh I know I was being lazy with the oil change but seeing it was up there why not. I also said I'd give them a call to chat about my Rockers and Shims.

So back from my week in Greece with the Girlfriend I give them a call, "all done" I'm told "and your Rockers are fine and Valve Clearances spot on, however you needed a new battery (it's been on the bike since new) so we've replaced that for you, and your bike will be back with you by the weekend".

Now you gotta say, nobody likes forking out your hard earned for a service but it couldn't have been any smoother and more relaxed experience. Big thumbs up to John Burrows and whoever worked on my bike at JHP.

As I said before my bike was going fine so I didn't notice any performance change on it's return however it came home a lot cleaner than it left and on the 450mile trip I made to the Ace Cafe from Devon seven days later it never missed a beat. My 748 is great, why would you need anything else!

Put my bike in for an MOT today with my 45mm Termi's still in place. I put the standard numberplate on so I didn't get told off, but pleased to say it passed the MOT with flying colours.

Funny thing I noticed going to the MOT station is that after a summer of riding my 48bhp 600ss when I got on the 748 I wasn't used to the power and managed three wheelies on route, I can't say I've ever done that on demand before. I felt like a right hooligan, so drove very sensibly on the way home and kept it under 30mph to make up for it.

My 748 is just sooooooo coooollllll.
