Rearsets

I've had a set Of Gilles ones in a box for ages now after an abortive attempt to fix them.

Due to the increased diameter of the exhaust (termi), the RHS set cannot be fitted as intended.

Anyone found a way round this? If not, anyone want the rearsets who's running a different exhaust?

dunno about the 749, but little asbo now runs a set of spacers between the frame and the rearsets on the exhaust side for the same reason - fatter pipes. Doesn't affect my position on the bike at all.

I tried with my 54mm system, in the end i just sent them back. I got all the "You just need to put a washer behind them" bollocks, i'm a toolmaker i told them, i know the bloody difference between a couple of washers and the 2.5 inch spacer i would have had to make. Not only would it have looked gash, there was no way i was getting to the brake pedal from there. So i sent my £280 gilles back for a refund then bought some no names from ebay for £80 and they fit a treat.

Yeah that's my concern - a dirty great spacer is going to change the position of my right leg and the strength of the rearset.

It's madness that it's designed like that when most people who'll be buying them will surely have upgraded the exhaust beforehand.

I had to send it back to the importer, but had no probs with the refund. I actually asked the guy on the stall at the NEC if it would fit with the 54mm kit he said yes it will go up to 60mm, bullshine obviously.

Rearsets are on my shopping list, I hadn't realised that the 54mm pipes are so close to my standard pegs that they'd cause a problem. Must have a look!
Bugger.

Ive got rear sets fitted along with a full 57mm system. The right rearset needs about a 6mm spacer to clear the exhaust.
