It hasn't had a proper clean yet... but I try not to get too anal about it... It is there to be used.
Carbon Seat Cowl on order (probably to be sprayed white, with the front bit left carbon).
Rearsets (Probably Gilles)
Exhaust (still undecided. Really like the Carbon Leo Vince, but Termi's are easier and more appropriate).

That is a consequence of running it in in December and leaving it idle in the garage for 3 months!! It was worse!! I have some cleaner and lube, I just haven't got around to it yet!!

Nice pics all right, but you can't be serious about buying a carbon fibre seat cowl and them painting it white! Why buy carbon fibre only to paint it?

Look out for me Sunday around 12 at Silverstone, I'll try to pop up and see you.
Best of luck with the Cali race school

I am going to leave the front section as carbon (the bit with "Ducati" on it - the same as the pad on the norman cowl), painting the back section white. I am very serious. I think it should look quite classy.

Unfortunately, the tart that I am, I am only buying them because they are anodised Black with Carbon heelguards!!

Well, I will never keep up with you in the bends. TO be honest, I think most people would notice your bike before mine anyway. The dealers were trying to sell me the Carbon Termi's today... I had to be very strong!! Yep, definitely keep an eye out for you!

When you paint the rear put some Ducati stickers on, then paint it then remove stickers.
You then have the text showing through in carbon. Very very classy.
Ducati did it with one or two of the R series.......I loved it.

autosol, brake cleaner, toothbrush, wire wool, Maguires polish and wax will do the job in getting it shiny again.
The front carbon guard is much nicer than the stock one.
How about some nice black, or aluminium domed bar ends. I shudder when I see the flat ones......no protection should the worst happen.
Or a nice gold chain?
Don't know if the 848 suffers from the usual Ducati over gearing, but if you are changing the chain and it does, you could change the front a rear sprockets, and go 2 or 3 teeth up on the back? Not sure what the advice is on that, but I am just about to go 3 up on the back on the 749. Makes it more rideable around town, with better drive out of corners on the twisty stuff too!!
If you are going down the PC111 route, a custom map for each cylinder is the way to go.

looks real good. I have ordered the carbon hugger, heat shield by the exhaust and front mudguard for mine, but not seen it until now, it does look smart. along with some carbon akros
was toying with the idea of going for carbon nose cone, tail unit and the inside bits, but that all turned out a bit much... still doesn't mean I can't go back for more...
looks good, well done
3 weeks till it gets here... not that I'm counting

Yes, the dealer was suggesting that also. I want to get the Carbon tail section, so will do it on that.

The only think stopping me going the whole Carbon route at the minute is that I am not sure what to do about the main side fairing panels and the petrol tank (a Carbon tank is available, but I am not sure I like the sound of it!
Exhaust wise I really don't know what direction to go in at the moment. I have seen some Carbon Leo Vinces which looked really nice, but I would like to see what the Carbon Akros look like (I haven't seen them in the flesh yet).... and then the old Termi question keeps raising its head... it really should be done!

Nice to see you and the bike at Ron Haslams, although I think you got more out of the day than I did. What happens when you get paired 2 to 1 with someone who is quite a bit more cautious than you are.
Regarding mods to the 848 I am loving the carbon on your bike but I have thing to say......
.......... those forks look nice dont they!
Forking nice!

Did you notice as we were leaving Ron Haslam that the Blonde girl from the Monster truck asked to have her picture taken on the bike with me?!! I think she was just being polite, so I let her take a picture sat on it herself!
I'm not sure I like the Alloy tank... I still think Black would be better.
If I tell you where I can get a 1098R from will you sell me the forks?!!....
