848 Termi's

Can you only buy Termi systems from Ducati dealers, or are there other places to purchase them from .

The 70mm system with ECU and replacement air filter for the 848 has any one fitted it .
How much difference did it make and how much would you expect to pay

Bike: 848 in Red.

R6 Blade has termi's for sale

Full Akrapovic

I paid £1800 ish for a full system, ecu and air filter and got them fitted by Ducati Wolves at the 600 mile service which means it hard for me to quantify the difference in performance between the stock and termi system. Sales blurb states 8% power increase with the hit on mpg you'd expect.

Apart from the power inrease the noise is heaven

im loving my Zard slip ons and quite frankly they sound like a Spitfire has decided to knock around with my bike for a while.

Termis while are the 'exhaust of choice' for the ducati following are NOT the only choice my friend.

These bad boys sound awesome.....

Seen for sale a set of Termi Carbon slip on's with Filter and ECU.
But this set is for a 1098, will it fit the 848 and is the fuel map in the ECU different

I believe the 1098 uses 70mm and the 848, 50mm.

My termi slip ons were 649 - and the ear plugs 2 - buy both you will not regret either purchase!

The ECU will be mapped differently so it won't work. Power commander or Nemesis is your best bet with a 848 system.

I believe:
The slip on's for the 1098 are 70mm. Your existing pipe is 58mm.
If you get the "full system" that is 70mm end to end with no cat..

But you can't use the 1098 slip ons on the 848 with the original "cat" exhaust system for obvious reasons.
And yes the 1098 ECU seems to have a different part number too. Suggesting that it is a different map to 848.

Someone correct me if I talking cr*p.....

To be sure I just measured the ornaments sat on my living room floor that is a full 70mm racing system for the 848,1098 part number: 96118708B
I must remember to put it all away before the wife gets home. She is unhappy enough with me as it is!!

he he.....

Thanks for the info, you have confirmed what I thought.

Did you get your new system form EBAY, I noticed a full system for sale on there recently.

Ebay

I did. It was my second attempt. Missed the first one a while back by a fiver (i was at work when it ended) . Determined not to miss it a second time. Brand new in box. seller was good as gold and saved a packet too.
The guy has had at least two recently that I know of. PM me and I send you his details. I saved £650 on retail.
