Gatwick - Lands End -Gatwick

Hadn't seen my mother in a long time so thought the weather was just good enough for a long trip on the bike. Kissed goodbye to wife and kids and set off at 7:30 Friday night and got there at 11:30 a bit chilly but not bad. 300 miles down on a friday night and back again Sunday. Weather was variable so decided to use the motorways for alot of the journey which was not the plan. Remarkable how comfortable it was. Amazing how she kept slipping into questionable speeds!

Fuel light comes on with great regularity and a few miles of running on fumes.

I have the Termi's - fantastic sound but boy did my ears suffer, even though I wear ear plugs.

The great thing was that the amount of cars pulling over was sensational - they would never do that if i was in the car. Lots of waving and cheering so I felt compelled to drop a cog and floor it everytime someone was nice to me. Which was quite often!

Will have to see mother more often!

That would have been nice. I was born and bred in East Coker near Yeovil. Brother still lives in Sherborne but he was in France so just kept on going!
I will remember for next time!
Thanks
