Just out of curiousity, as I'm coming up to the 30k mark - How many miles has your bike covered?
Mines a 98 ssie.

My Ducati 916SPS 98 model is up to 24,000 trouble free miles and feels better than when i bought it at 13,000 miles.
Who says ducati dont last.Next time ya hear that tell em there talking b#####ks.

My '96 SS has 15000 on it but my '02 SS/IE has 31000 and it's had a hard life reading through the service history  ( 3 clutches, 2 fairings, 2 sets of footpegs and levers and I don't think it's ever seen a bucket of water and a sponge. Having said all that it runs superbly

98 900SS has 16000 approx. DD bike#42 has approx 14500 of which the last 300 (on the track with Ollie at the controls) have probably seen the hardest use. On the other hand, the previous 14200 looked to have been characterised by an excess of neglect.

Hmm, I'm hoping to get mine up to atleast 50k! I've done 5,500 in about three months. It's running much better now!

2004 - 900ssie bought in sept 06 with 2300 on the clock now 5400.
1900 of those to Italy this year. ( need to get out more I think)

Done 29000 on a 91 900 SS, 8000 a year in my ownership. No problems at all and just home servicing.

Bike has done 19,000 and the engine has done about 12,000. So 31,000 in total.

bought mine 2 years ago at 9000 miles,now on 20,000 and the engine has never been better,uses no oil at all,and valve clearance still spot on,eats chains though!
