Sprocket dilema

Hi gang,

Changing the front and rear sprockets but I've no idea what the front retaining bolts should be torqued to, and the same for the rear. The Haynes book is deficit on both counts, anyone know what the values should be?

Second question - its been suggested elsewhere that some thread lock should be applied to the two front retaining bolts, has anyone any suggested products to use?

Thanks in advance.

I can only tell you what I do on my DD bike.....its a 600 but the front sprocket retainer is the same......I use Loctite 243, just a smidge, and just tighten it reasonably by hand using a normal 5mm Allen key T piece.....never had a problem with either coming undone.
