I empted out just short of 3 litres plus whatever I could not get out of the bowl. I have put about 3.5 litres in, so should be enough, I still have it in bits as I am checking belt tension etc, also gonna get my local bike shop to check valve clearances, not confident enough to do this although I want to learn eventually.
TOP TIP: when replacing fairing bolts dab a touch of grease on them, mine were a bitch to get out and I have cricified two of the rubber nut thingys on the inside and will have to get some more. Oh well! you live and learn.
I have fitted a K&N filter and Irridium plugs, when I fired it up to circulate the oil, it seemed to run alot smoother from cold and had a more instant crack when blipping the throttle, also seems to idle a bit faster too. Am I just imagining it? Will see when I give it a run.
