Rear race disc for a 916... just a myth?

I have been trying to find a rear racing disc for a standard axle 916 for about 6 month now and Im not sure if they ever existed! I cant believe they are proving this hard to find! Anyone know where I might be able to find one? Originally they were on a 916 racing / 955 Corsa as these also ran a standard size axle.

I did see one on eBay quite a while back, but not since!

They must be quite rare. I gave up looking and bought a Braketech floating rear disc instead, but I know that's not in keeping with your bike.

Have seen JHP (Ducati Coventry) were recently selling them on ebay, they may still have some available.

thanks very much for your help guys I also saw one on ebay a while ago from a guy also selling a mag swingarm and race rear caliper. I bid on the disc and was the highest bidder for the most part but didnt realise how much it would go for and I got beaten in the end!

thanks DukeDesmo, I have sent an email off to JHP and will wait to hear from them.

Brian, here's a little picture of the disc. Its a cast iron, fully floating disc, but the black finish is because it hasn't been used yet!

Hi,

Try this link for floating rear brake discs, they sell the original Brembo race disc.
