Exhaust dimensions

Where do you actually measure on a set of pipes to determine what size they are, I see ads for 45mm 50mm etc.
The JHP pipes are my SP vary from 60mm od where the enter the end can down to 45mm behind the exhaust guard so a bit confused.
Would like a set of carbon termis but want to know what I need to look for. I am not sure if the rest of my pipework is standard or JHP maybe so will termi endcans fit???
Any help appreiciated

Ian

Measure the OD of the pipework from the engine and into the cans, the outlets of the cans are usually larger and with termis the 45, 50 and 52mm all have the same can, as in the actual can and outlet pipe is the same.

Note some systems have tapered midpipes with 45mm in and 50mm (or larger) out. One of the more common is the 45/50mm half system (I have this), I understand that this is probably as big as you may want to go on a non-tuned road bike as larger systems may give ultimately more top-end BHP at the expense of less mid-range torque.
