there is a nack, but idea is not to apply heat to the Vynal direct, apply to the back of the nose cone, easy as chips when you know how!

And it looks, 95% perfect, one or 2 minute inperfections, but from chips in fairing

Cheers DAN guess you Moved it here

Why dont you apply heat to the vynal? Do you mean you warm up the nose cone then apply the nose cone ?
I am thinking of buying one, was it good quality ?

That looks good Ollie, I had mine sprayed and yours looks no different mate. Also with yours you won't suffer with stone chips.

That looks really good, have you had experience of doing this before, or was it a case of take your time and even a muppet like me could do it.

have looked at the vinyls on e-bay - not sure how much difference there is in quality and how they will end up looking

Mine's is from the same guy as Ollie's and as long as you follow the instructions provided they are reasonably straight forward, you just need a little patience and a very clean nose cone, especially on the inside around the headlight holes and screen so it sticks to the underside.

Clean nose cone - yep can probably do that.
Patience - Big No.
When it comes to things like this I'm like a fat kid with cake, I want it now maybe I can get an ex Blue peter presenter to help me out.

Thanks for the advice though

If you apply Heat to the Vynal, it shrinks up sp fast you can mess it up in seconds, I applied heat to the back side of the nose cone so that i it would get warm, and allow the Vynal to stretch when in contact with it so not to fierce heat.

You will need to remove the heat when you want the Vynal to set in the place required.

hope that helps?

I have Never done anyhting like this myself before, but it did test my patients, idea is not to use too much Water,

A 2nd Pair of hands does help, and would be advised.

This Vynal was from e-bay Ducati 1 about £20 IIR??
and would say that it is decent quility.

Bike: 2003 Ducati 749s

When your tyres are warm enough to bobble like that - you can take them to the edge

Only kidding - bike looks fab!

Ollie, on the belly pan you will need a bracket that bolts from the lower exhaust bracket Mate ( near the right hand foot peg) otherwise it vibrates like ****.

I had a fibreglass bellypan on my 996 but removed it when I had an off.

It's easy to make and takes a Dzus clip to hold it on, I've still got the bracket and clip if you want to borrow it and make a copy feel free.

Mines not home made it's the gen article but a man of your means will be able to do a copy.

Anyway it's here if you want it.
