I may be wrong on this but I think that the French ones were limited to 100bhp. As far as I can recall the power limit wasn't lifted in France.

The French bikes are restricted to 100bhp.
The Californian bikes differ from the rest of the USA because of the stricter emission regs in that state.

French bikes are still rstricted to 100hp (or 106).

Ducatis are a simple restriction in France especially on the testastretta engines, just a cheap restrictor to stop you opening the throttle fully.

Nothing wrong with that coz it's still an original (rare) mono, just with a nicer seat that blends in with the C/F air box.
