Whey hey Bud a man after my own Heart. I have done this to my 999 2003 but I went up 3 teeth at the rear to 39 and down 1 at the front too 14. I think that the power and the acceleration is absolutely astounding. I was at knockhill a couple of weeks ago and it was ....blistering, to say the least. I also said I put a Power Commander 111 usb on my bike aswell and installed a ' fuel pump utility ' which is new and part of the commanders software. This basically gives a less sensitivity to the throttle on the track alters the amount of the firing cycle and adds more fuel, when on the track. The top end speed will be no where near what the book says but the acceleration is out of this world. When you hit the 7-8000 RPM hold on and just concentrate on changing gear. I have never ridden one of those drag bikes you see in the MCN but this is what I think it wil get as close to. I dramatically reset the whole of the front and rear end set up. Such as the steering to the ' RACE ' set up, down to three lines on the front fork yokes and the rear ride height at 285mm.
With this set up, the PC 111 usb and the gearing at 14/39 teeth. ........What a fecking machine I have here.
Knockhill is not a very fast track ( not that I am talking through experience here ) but this set up I believe gets the most power down onto the track the quickest, which is what racing and BHP is all about.
Anybody out there know or want to give a comment on the gearing I have for the machine? I am all ears.

PS. Would anybody know what the brake horse power would be for a 14/39 tooth gearing with a PC 111 usb and a Termi full race Exhaust system and filters etc? I believe the bog standard is 125BHP
