Accelerator Pump

Has anybody downloaded and installed the Fuel Pump Accelerator from the Dynojet or powercommander web site for their PC 111 USB? If so have you tinkered with the settings that they advise for Track days and for the road.

http://www.powercommander.com/ Have a look at the instructions for the Accelerator. In the software click on the Free Accelerator Pump upgrade. You can download the pdf.
There is quite a few Duke owners that have PC 111 USB fitted on their machines. If you have take a look at the FPA. guide and on page 2 of the instructions it shows the Revolutions, Throttle and the sensitivity. I just want to know if anybody has dabbled with this or even installed this bit of high Tec. software. I have had my Duke set for the first trackday I did for Knockhill ....that was ages ago but I have kept the fuel at 15/40 revolutions and the fuel at 20% , in other words I never got round to change it for the street. If it is burning at 20% more fuel as it says, How come my tank is doing 130 miles before the fuel light comes on?

Am I reading this correctly?

PC 111 USB

Come on lads anbody done the ' Fuel Pump Utility ' on their PC111 USB. With all the PC's that everyone has fitted there must be someone out there that has done this software update and down loaded it from the www.powercommander.com web site.

I did post on here somewhere about the accelerator feature on my blade, depends on the bike, blade was minimal but you could notice extra lag in the acceleration if you went to the extreme of the settings, can't recall what i have it set on now but the bike is fine. My Duc would benefit greatly, but I don't have the pump feature on its PC3 (non-usb).

The settings only take effect when you snap the throttle past the set % and continue for the RPM's you have set, injecting the % of fuel.

I.E at 85% throttle, inject 20% more fuel for 1500 rpms.

I posted a similar query James, a couple of weeks ago and got limited response - I emailed Dynojet to enquire if the stock map for termis and 996R ECU was ok, after fitting BCM Filters, for a short while prior to tweaking on the dyno - they replied saying it would be fine, but that it is of benefit on dukes and other big twins to also run the APU Software - but they didn't tell me what to set it at!!! - Once I get it back from the Dyno - I'll post the settings they advise! - hopefully going in this saturday.... :P

How did you get on with the Dyno Bud? Did you manage to get it to the workshop?

Let me know if you do not mind.

Powercommander fitting to RHS of bike

I looked into fitting a PCIII USB to my 999s, and found that JHP Coventry sell a lovely little Carbon Bracket which allows it to be fitted under the RHS fairing.

This works really well, i fitted it myself in about an hour.

IMHO its a much better solution that cramming it in by the battery, as it has more room and the USB connection is available without even removing the fairing.

Anyhow with a Termi system, with ecu and race filters, and a bit of fettling I get 138bhp at the rear wheel, which as you can imagine i am VERY happy with :-)

Steve
PS If anyone is interested i will take a photo of the install and post it, it does look great !
