What Slipper Clutch for a Ducati 999?

Well I said that I was not really interested in getting a Slipper Clutch but I am now. ( wonder why? Could be something to do with Knockhill and Scotsman corner, see previous post.

Can anybody recommend a good Slipper for my 999 2003? Not rediculous money but a decent one.
Maybe if someone could post some info on fitting it too would be great. I think I read a while ago that they are pretty straight forward to install. Do you need a ducati clutch holder to take the old one off, or is a universal holder enough?

Cheers.

I think you are looking at between 300 to 450 GBP for a slipper Jim. They are always on Ebaym so just check and IF you arent in a huge rush to buy one yesterday then you should find one and maybe get a bargain.
Cheap isnt always best, as the more expensive ones, may end up cheaper in the long run.

A guy I know has a 2001 748R and he had the original Ducati Corse slipper clutch, then replaced it with a STM slipper, and then replaced it with a Yoyodyne slipper, and will never look back, after 10,000km he said there is hardly any wear on the plates. The reason he took off the Corse and STM slippers were they were too rough and he had problems with them.

check them out http://www.yoyodyneti.com/
