I do not mind funky chicken (it is funky) but problem was it still did not help much.
Funny is the fact that all of 749/999 users make the same move to use mirrors, with out consulting.

Do you mean the air tubes ? The stock ones are still there and was even as stupid to buy carbon covers until I realised that my QB Carbon fairings covered the tubes anyway.
All the original fitted fairings, nosecone and tailpiece are wrapped in bubblewrap and stored in my loft .

I know the feeling well  I could of , and my local dealer said , should have , gone for a 1098S
But why I would want to downgrade is beyond me
