Fitting Termis to Ducati 999s?

The inevitable is happening. Im starting to spend on my 999s. Ive been offerred a termis titanium full system with race filters and chip for a grand(Riders are offloading old exhausts).
Has anyone undertaken the fitting of termis to their 999s.If so did you have any problems.
I understand the mapping will need to be done by a specialist but do i need to alter the fuelling right away or can i ride it to a specialist once the metal is fitted?

I fitted an asymetric system on my 999 without changing the chip, just needed to tweak the fuelling so not lean or rich...just had first service with Ducati diagnostic computer and they altered the CO to 20 seems to run better but does back fire a littl on 1st gear deacceleration...sounds good hope not damaging anything

what size is the system?.... it depends on the bore on the exhaust to the fuelling, and wether the chip is suitable for the system? i fitted a full ti system to my 749s with air filter and new chip. it sounded awesome but performed like a bag of crap. the bike was over fueling and had flat spots all the way through the rev range. i bought a power commander for mine and had it all set up on the dino & had a map made for it. this maybe an option for you to look into. then again my system is a 57mm, idealy made for the 999, but now its all sorted its bang on. a differece in power is definately noticeable. there a bugger to fit as well. drop us a pm is you get stuck an i will try an give ya some pointers.
