Very nice indeed. Is that the 2004 model? Also, I noticed the forks, they are usually only on the 'S' version, is yours an S? Plenty of scope for lots of goodies.
ps I met a young(ish) lady from the IOW at Beaulie this year, seems there quite a few bikers on the island.

Hi Steve, no its a 52 plate bip very low miles for year and mint or I would not have swapped it for the 10 which is the only new bike I have ever bought. I know FA about Dukes its my first one.
Are there any pros to having a open clutch case or is it just bling, I'm concerned about dirt ingress

Hello, In reality, in the short term open clutches are just bling. They look ace and sound like Jimmy Saville on a spin cycle. In the long run they do also stop the clutch clagging up with **** and braying. But you can have the fantasy that you need to dump all the heat from the traffic light GP's but in reallity there is only one Troy Bayliss.

I did a lot of asking round and the consensus is that when underway the clutch gets hot enough to burn any wet and muck away anyway, I rode 30 miles in a downpour with no probs.

In the end it's down to preference but if it makes you feel good then do it..... I did! And it's my fave mod.

I agree they do, but on the 749 they are only available on the S model as mine was.

The only reason I wrote that was because the swingarm is the older style, as per my 2004 model. From 2005 onward they were different.

Hey Bud if you want info on Clutch and Exhaust etc, have a look through the posts I have done over the last 12 months. I have done an open Clutch ( gold ) yes.....Don't listen to these colour blind Ducati owners.
I think they are good at keeping the crap out Major style. |Down side they are much noisier though but waht is a few decibels between friends.
Exhausts have a look at my EarSplitters from New Hampshire now that is what a Duke should sound like.
I am coming down to the Ace one day this year and let every body hear a proper exhaust and if that Yorkshire P**f wants to come aswell let him PM me then.
I Love you too... Spikey Baby.

PS. How are the sheep in Yorkshire
