I have seen on ebay germany or usa systems which bolt to a std. 749/999 petrol cap, at the moment i can only find the style that bolt to the round caps as fitted to a 916 etc. If i find the advert i'll post a link.

hi bud,
i got it for use on my greenlaner and it really did the job well for an all in one unit.
the problem with it on a green laner was that i mounted it on the handlebars and it suffered from vibration and general upy downiness!!
m gonna stick it on the duke this weekend and see how it goes... subject to finding a bloody place to mount it!!,
if you go to youtube and type macey2kk you'l see some of my greenlanin vids,
the quality is alot better usually, but i had to really compress them for youtube.
happy viewing and dont laugh!

Why not just mount it to your helmet or something, that will cut out a LOT of the vibrations etc.
We might also get a running commentary while you ride

Surely if you do that the tank will get in the way.

Hi, Andy...maybe you can get some ideas from this site
http://www.ram-mount.com/.
I've used their stuff successfully to mount my satnav, but haven't tried mounting a camera. One point to ponder is that the basis of this system is components are clamped to a hard rubber ball, which may reduce vibration. Anyway, however you choose to do it, good luck with the project!
