Dash Reprogramming
OK chaps another VERY useful bloke to know. As you will all remember, I have recently replaced my 999 dash at a cost of £532 because the back lighting failed. Couldnt get a second hand dash because every Ducati dealer I came across said you cant reprogramme one to fit another bike. WRONG.....I have found someone that can do exactly that. He needs your old dash, from which he can download your bike's info, before overlaying that info on the replacement dash........and then you can just plug it onto your bike. He can also fix back lighting failures, obviously subject to what has gone wrong. I have spoken to the guy himself so this is all from the horses mouth and is not hearsay....cost is £70+VAT and postage...he is available at :
Mark Tsang
SCORPIO ELECTRONICS
265 Wootton Rd
Kings Lynn
Norfolk
PE30 3AR
01553 670891/ 0468 624062
I hope thats of some help to many of you......it obviously applies to 749's too.....

Guys,
Saw this threat and thought I would add my 2NP..I recently imported an R1SP into the UK and had to have the dash reprogrammed for the SVA (type approval) test..
..I used Scorpio Electronics for the reprogram..perfect..the dash came back as UK spec with correct equivalent miles etc..
Take care,

When they re-program a new dash...can they put in the correct milage of your bike onto the replacement dash too...or will it start back at zero like mine did?

I rang and spoke to Mark at Scorpio Electronics and he says that he can set the milage to the correct one if you want...and probably on a 1098 too. However...i would say that if you did have a change of clocks because of a fault it might look a bit suspicious to any potential purchasers having them set to whatever milage the bike has actually done...although it makes total sense to do it...why on earth don't Ducati dealers have the equipment to do it?

999 Dash programming
Hi.. I just spoke to Scorpio to see if the facility existed in a 1098s dash to display the gear you are in but no joy.
Also asked if they can fit a digital gear change indicator for me (Acumen) but they don't do that. Very helpful outfit though.
Still haven't managed to find a mobile sparks to do it yet (see earlier posting)
Cheers
Alan

Surely your local dealer can fit a gear change display...my dealer has Datatool ones for sale iirc...not sure how often they sell them though and it probably would ruin the nice dash?
