Front End problem on Ducati 999?

Hi got a bit of a problem , while in the process of being on the backwheel , caught a bit of a sidewind and come down a bit hard on the front wheel , and since that day the front of the bike seems to light , if you could imagine you have slightly jacked up the front but not enough to lift the tyre kind off feeling , also it seems to go a bit to the right , but doesnt pull to the right just wanders to the right , because if you take your hands of the handlebars you need to lean a bit left to keep it straight , to look at the bike all looks fine , it is hard to judge if the wheel is bang on line but by eye it looks about right , but when riding it looks like the wheel is slightly to right hard to say though, anyway any ideas thanks in advance

Sounds like the forks could have twisted on the pinch bolts.......get her on a paddock stand, front and rear if you can, slacken all the bolts on the yokes holding the forks ( one on each side of the top yoke, two on each side of the bottom yoke ) and the forks should spring back true.....then re torque the pinch bolts, check your tyre pressure and condition, and that you havent lost any balance weights, and all SHOULD be ok.....its unlikely to be anything serious......

Second nagaromill re the forks may have kick out of line....

If it was me I'd have the front end out completely and the reset the lot...by that I mean loosen everything off, remove the calipers/front wheel/forks and then check them all over and then just replace them back so everything is all square again.......

Make sure your marker rings at the top of the forks are matched through the top yoke when you come to refit.....

Hope you sort it....

Also check the steering head bearings, they can come loose after a few cack-handed wheelies.
