What a wonderful project that would make......
I'm imagine it'll sell for a tad more then £755

I bet it does! But dont it look good? and a bevelhead to boot strange how time makes things change.....years ago (oh a good 20!) the last time i looked at a similar Duke it was with a view of junking the ducati engine and installing a triumph one! I built a "triton" instead!

Nice project bike.
I don't think it will fetch too much.
The 860 gts's were non Desmo, Normal valve spring engine.
But i may be wrong....... enter Steve (Mr R)

i spotted on ebay a 350 scrambler (Steve's after a 350 single engine for a project)
Steve informed me it fetched over a grand and it was crash damaged

Steve is right it's a non Desmo motor, there's a few useful spares though.
If I didn't have too many projects on the go, I'd think about buying it to brake, keeping the bits I want then sell on the rest.
Most of the main castings are the same as the Desmo motors, as is the front wheel hub and discs although undrilled, it also has a now unavailable aftermarket RITA ignition system, I'd keep as a spare.
If he lived local I'd offer him less than his start price.

Steve
