I keep my work suits and shoes at the office. A friend of mine keeps his entire work wardrobe there, including shirts.

For 10 years my neighbour would socialise but we were never friends, Everything I did he had to do, I dug a pond – he dug a pond. We had a barn – he had a barn built. Etc, etc. Then he disappeared for 3 days and did his bike test on one of those crash courses. Passes his bike test and bingo he buys a Kwaka crotch rocket thingy. In 4 years he did 1500 miles and the only time the chain was lubed was when I did it in secret.

He had a bike but he was not a biker, I explained this to his (soon to be ex) wife and she did not understand, then she wouldn’t she was not a biker either.

when you are having your jeans cut off in a&e to have your kneecaps put back where they are supposed to be.( long time ago ).

when you drive in the gutter to let some bikes get past in traffic.

when you moan about not being on the bike when the bikes you have just pulled over for come past..

The fact that you've bought yet another bike is cited as grounds in the divorce petition.............

This ones not nice... happened to me a couple of years back when driving from the UK to CZ in mostly pouring rain...

You know you are a biker when it takes you so long to get your Frank Thomas aquapak off, unzip your leather trousers from your jacket, lower your leather trousers, your trackie bottoms and your longs johns.....whilst trying to kick your boots of to help... unsuccessfully... that you fill your shreddies... in a tiny toilet cubicle in a motorway services after holding it in for 200 miles... and then have to remove the er.... filled.... shreddies by 'sawing' through them with the bike key!!

Or, conversely, when it takes you so long to dig out your waterproofs from the bottom of the second pannier you're looking through and put them on that the rain has stopped.

Or rather - you know you're a biker when you know what JILF means... (it's ok, Dave explained the acronym to me - I've still a lot to learn).

At least I now know how nice Ducatis sound.

PS I think I may be a Knee Slider now
