White is the short term trend, and seen as the new black but red will live on forever.

I'm considering buying one but don't like it in either colour, so will look to get it done in Ducati Yellow

Only one colour for a 848/1098 - RED.. If it is white or black looks to much like a Triumph 675 / Honda CBR600RR.

Red or White?

Fortunate enough to have had to make this decision in the last week The dealer I used gave me a fantastic part ex for my 748 and mentioned that they have already had a white 848 painted yellow for a customer ... and it looked stunning.

Can't rate this family business highly enough WM Snell Home Page; Snells;Ducati Dealer in Hampshire ; Sales;Servicing,

In case you're interested I went for red.

white is the new black, but I think it will date it eventually, red will always look good on a duke.

Ooh Ooh I like I like

Picture courtesy of Delbert in another thread, looks the biz and I'm sold!

Just a thought, if you were serious about buying one, do you recon a dealer would get it done in another colour to secure the deal?

Oh, and Chris, people were branded as witches and burned at the stake less than three hundred years ago for such heresy - you are a lucky man for living in the 21st century - of course, all the other readers of this thread are grown up enough to realise that you were only pretending to be slightly delinquent when you muttered those profanities as you searched for the exit!

Oh how blinkered you are, Even Ducati moved with the times, with red for the 9** series as the main colour with yellow as the main colour for the 748 range, now they move forward with a new Pearlesant White for the 848 to compliment the red of the 1098, and oh does the white bring a new era for Ducati

There you go, after all that "heretic" etc etc, one look at a good Yellow 848 and your hooked, now go out & buy one

Just a personal opinion, but i think the 848/1098 looks way too JILF for it's own good, but in white it really could be just another Honda, Yamaha or Suzuki.

Yeah, only noticed in the afternoon when I couldn't see any new scrapes, then worked out they were under the slider
