Adam,
Great to see you again and thanks for the offer of help! You can do this in loads of ways take your pick:

- As the first 999s owner to visit the site consider the 'Bike Specific Forum/Super Bike - Ducati 999' your area to do as you please, any content you can think of from your experience riding your new 'mutts nutts of a motorbike' just jot it down and post it in that forum for all to enjoy and find easily. I'll make you a 'Moderator' of that area if you wish...
- Write an article on your trip to Switzerland, tell us how the bike handled the different terrain and anything you'd learn't from the trip which you'd do/not do next time.
- As a member of the site you have your own 'Members Photos' area post some pics of your bike for us all to enjoy. (I've gotta do this myself, but my bike is in bits at the moment in preparation for the MOT this Friday.)
- Post any pictures of Ducati's you have in the main gallery (this is where most visitors look but to date only me and Famine have added any images.
- Arrange a meet with Brian in the 'I'm going for a ride, you comin' forum and then tell us a favouite route you went on... Getting Ducati enthusiasts together was my inspiration in creating the site, see post http://www.ducatisti.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=26.
- BEST OF ALL, write a short review of your bike, compare it to your old bike, why did you get a 999s in preference to a Jap rice rocket. This option doesn't have to be long but I'll make your article the 'Featured Bike' on the home page. That way we can all talk about the 999s and get over excited.

Thanks for your support of the site.
Dan

Hey Adam its nice to know your only down the road in St'Albans we will have to hook up for a spin as long as you dont mind my jap screamer beside you.

then you can talk me through its good points and bad like comfort but it cant be that bad if you have been to Switzerland and back maybe you will let me take it down the road for a spinn

anyway leave me a message or send me a pm

maybe we could arrange a trip to Devon

Hey all, I've just registered and thought I would introduce myself.

Adam (Frenchy) recommended this site to me as we've both recently bought Ducati's (I bought mine 4 hours earlier I'd like to point out  ). Seems like everyone is pretty friendly and I particurly like some of the photos.

Name is Neal, live in Chingford near Epping Forest (anyone know Berts Tea Hut) have a red 2002 748E and am loving it.

Adam and me plus another mate recenty did a nice 5 day blast down to Switzerland taking in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany (only just) along the way. Great laugh and I was surprised just how comfy the 748 was for all day riding (but hey sore neck/back/wrists is what its about surely?).

Anyway, nice to meet you all, Neal

Sounds cool. Let me get some stuff together and I'll put some pics e.t.c up over the coming weeks about the trip, what I've learn't (albeit short space of time).
Just hope we get an Indian summer so I can keep scaring OAP's!

Thanks Dan we'll have to arrange a trip down to Devon for twisty roads and cream scones !!!

Have been trying to upload some images to my personal gallery for you guys to have a look at but am having a few problems although managed to upload an avatar at least. I keep getting a file too large or file corrupted error. I have tried JPG's GIF's and PNG's all of which are less than 1024x768 and under 160,000 bytes.

Am I doing something wrong??

Nice one Brian - roll on the spring eh!

Well please I made the decision to buy a Ducati, its something I've always wanted ever since I passed my bike test and I've really bought into the whole Ducati thing (Ducati caps, t-shirts and fleeces now reside in my cupboard) !!!

Nellples, not sure why you're having difficulty uploading your images... Usually people try to upload images that are too large (with too many bytes). However I too had a problem about a month ago related to three specific images that just wouldn't convert to thumbnails, can't remember how I sorted it now. I'll be posting my own images on the weekend so I'll have a look behind the scenes then.

Dan, I managed to upload three pictures to my personal gallery, check them out.

Didn't do anything different to what I was doing before so I guess the server must have had a hangover or something!!!!

Cheers,

Neal
