GT clutch and engine noise

When my GT starts up from cold, the engine sounds exactly as it should. At the end of a run, when it is good and warm, however, there's a fair old rattle coming from down below - it doesn't sound terminal, but compared to a Jap four it's pretty clunky. I know the dry clutch Ducatis are known for clutch rattle, but this one has a wet clutch. Anything to worry about, or are they "all like that, Sir"? It's still under warranty (just) so if it needs to go back I need to get it organised.

Thanks

Mine makes a little more mechanical noise when you pull the clutch lever in but not a lot. Doesnt bother me anyway! What sort of noise are you getting?

Pulling in the clutch doesn't seem to make much difference. The noise is underneath the engine/intake/exhaust noise and the general rustle and wheeze of a Ducati - it's sort of half way between a rumble and a rattle. It's not loud, but it's definitely there when warm and not when cold. It's not alarmingly horrible, but I don't know the engine well enough to know if it's normal or not.

Cheers

Hi,
I have a M1000 which shares the same engine as the GT1000 except for the wet clutch. As she's still in warranty I'd take her to a dealer for an assessment of the noise. Shouldn't really make any other noises except for an additional tinny noise as things heat up. Put it this way have you noticed it before or is it new ? Don't know how much warranty you have left but at least you'd have alerted the dealer you might have a problem.
