Official Ducati sprocket. I can't give you an exact price as I paid for it with some other stuff, but around 10-15 squid.

It is an easy job if you have some basic mechanical knowledge (able to adjust the chain and re-align the wheel afterwards, and know how to fasten a tab washer - if you can't do these safely, don't start). Add a couple of big FO sockets, a big torque wrench reading up to 186NM and the usual workshop tools, and you're away.

Thanks I was contemplating a 40T on the rear, Hang on I could do both and really notice the difference No this definately sounds like the easier option, how did you know my next question was gonna be the torque setting?

That doesn't make sense, you should have more engine braking by reducing the size of the front sprocket!

Yes, that's what I thought! The physics says engine braking should increase with a lower f/d ratio. I can only say that it FEELS like a loss of engine braking, and quite noticeable on the back roads, where I seemed to need to use the brakes more, where before I would be relying on the throttle.

Probably just me.
