Unhappy A Big Mistake!!

I just sold my mint 1100s with 2-1 termis, cams, race seat + other bits for cash. Thinking about it a few days later I regret the decision. The price wasn't fantastic and I still haven't found a replacement.

I thought I would move to the dark side and try a Jap bike. I've tested 600's, Blade, Gixer, fazer and Z750 etc but not impressed. Yes...they are capable bikes but the power isn't always useable and the torque delivery is not a patch on the Hyper.

Tried the Aprilia Dorsoduro with 3 switchable map settings but its gutless compared to the Hyper. Like the RSV4 but silly money
I may now move back to a Hyper

Moral = test before you sell !!!!!

I'm glad I bought the Hyper, it just a great back road bike. it also helps me ride the 1098 better & smoother can't see me selling it for along time at least.. In many ways its more fun & user friendly than the StreetFighter.. Just my opinion though..

There was lots of talk of redundancies for me and the wife so thought I better do something although we have both now escaped redundancy hence I want to get another bike.

Tardman =Terdman, naughty boy,see there is hope because you've realised the error of your ways, very quickly.
You can be forgiven get yourself down to the nearest Ducati dealer and get a brochure, then leave it on the coffee table in plain view of your missus.Tell her you want to spend 13+ big ones on a new bike. She'll happily settle for 5-6 on a used one

I understand where you're coming from. I had a few moments where I thought I'd sell my Hyper. In some ways it's a difficult bike to understand and gel with but when you do, as I have now, it's just an amazing bit of kit and definitely helps me ride my 1098S better.

It would take a lot for me to sell her now. Nothing comes close to the grin factor she provides.

Tardman. I did the same. I sold my 07 Hypermotard 1100S last year and immediately regretted it.
I ended up buying another one and that is going nowhere.

I am tempted to test a new KTM 950SMT though - just to see if it is as much fun as they say it is. But at £10000 they are no cheaperthan the Hyper, and not a pretty.

Now that is very strange Anne coz when you sold yours I didn't regret it one little bit in fact I think it was the bestest ever decision you have made

TM Why oh why oh why, now get yourself down that dealers straight away and sort out a new one post haste and then get yourself up these parts again for a blast around the twisties.

+1 on the ugly comment. How much is the R version? I've a friend in Basel with the straight Adventure and he swears by it.
