Warranty

Hi everyone, I recently submitted a thread as the paint was flaking on the cylinder head of my Hyper. This is a common fault and when I contacted my local dealer Garlands in Haverfordwest they contacted Ducati who advised that it would be renewed under warranty but as my warranty was up on the 1st of July, it must be carried out prior to this. However Garlands cannot do until after this date, surely as I've advised of the fault this should be covered? Has anyone experienced anything like this? and am I within my rights to get the work done after this date as they have been advised. I'm not happy with the dealers service, I only just spent £1200 there last week!

I would have thought the warranty is effective as long as it was notified and agreed before the warranty runs out - I would send a complaint to Garlands and Ducati UK and see what happens.

Yep, my dealer logged a fault on mine then carried out the work later. That was 2005 though
