Back from the Pyrenees

Had a great trip to the prynees with squffything, see pictures at Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

We teamed up with some guys from Multistrada.net :: Home on the 4th annual European meeting, we departed out off Portsmouth on the ferry to Santander on the Wednesday, arrived Thursday midday, but did not get off the ferry and Santander till about 1pm due to problems with the ferry ramp!

We then had a 300 mile ride to Vielha, some great roads arrived about 10.30pm, was in a restaurant when some of the Multistrada guys phoned me to let me the bad news, a nail in my rear tyre! well some of the speeds and mountain passes we had done in the dark, just don't sit nice in the head

so, first thing Friday, got tyre repaired and carried on from lunch time, spent the afternon with squffything covering some great roads, all be it in rain at times, the last 24 miles into Ainsa comes to mind in the worst thunder storm and rain I have ever been in,

The trip back to Santander was via Huesca, Ayrbe, Tudela, Soria, Lerma, all roads and places I have been to before, but provide great roads,

after 1400 miles, back home now, a great 5 day trip, who says the Hyper can't tour, best bit of kit, DP Rack and aerostich motofizz bag

Sounds like a good time was had by all, the nail in the tyre sounds scary, the type of thing which could change the trip !

did you need to use your additional fuel reserve at any time?
