Source: Motorcycle News

Ducati won't officially talk about the details of the bike other than to confirm we will be seeing a new model of some sort next week. ...

Well this is absolutely no surprise is it.

However in my personal view it's a shame they should dilute such an iconic Ducati, although I appreciate market share and profits have to take center stage in business.

One more avenue in which to entice new Ducatisti is no doubt the objective.

Shall we try to guess how much Ducati will ask for the 696 Hypermotard?

If they keep the price close to £6,000 they may have a strong seller.
Having said that my guess is around £6,500 to £7,000.

£7,500 to £8,000 if there is a version with Ohlins & carbon fibre.

I want a single, 350 - 500cc super-light, tight circuit racer, not a diminished hyper :-(

Surely with Ducati heritage this would suit entry riders and old codgers like me alike.... mutter ..mutter . mutter

Hope it looks the part, the mock up photo shot ive seen with 696 swinging arm and lowered seat didnt look that great! If its to sell at around £7000 it still need to be a good looker and handle well or could be a flop,i hope not,a bike of this type and price could be a winner, but it needs to be good.
