Should have said...that's my dad's parents in the picture, taken shortly after he got the bike in 1956. He used it in trials but later modded it for road riding so that he and my mam could tour Austria, Switzerland etc.

Bike: this and that!!!

kool, and with provenice. to get a family history with the bike is great in my book. its the same with most of the bikes below, my ol' man has good history with most of them, owning some from new, getting some back after they had been sold (and alot of leg work). im well used to riding and tinkering with classics (british), but the mhr has a very special place in my heart. it was the bike that me and a mate, aged 15, took from the ol' mans garage, and decided to go for a blast. unfournately we ran out of fuel, and was found by one very angry pops. i will never forget the thrill thou.....lol

Wow! That's some collection you've got there. Very nice.

Got caught a few times starting Dad's bike in the garage. Not surprising really given the noise it makes, the proximity to the neighbours' houses, and the fact it nearly crippled me every time until I learnt to use the ignition advance/retard properly!

Don't suppose you know anybody with an oil tank for a '64 3TA do you? One of the hanging brackets has separated from the tank on mine and I doubt it'll weld.

right i had a word and he said, late next week, he will be picking up the 1946 truimph 3T we brought, but had a few probs with. now its fixed, we can collect, and the people we are dealing with have a mountain of spares for truimphs, so he will ask for you (maybe get a good price, bearing in mind all the probs we have had), and pass me all the contact details. and if your intrested, you can call at your leisure. watch this space!!!
