Removing Monster Seat

Hi all, probably a simple one for most of you, but can anyone point me in the right direction for a step by step guide to removing the seat on my 01 monster dark? I need to access the battery and can't for the life of me know how to remove it!

Thanks

Hello, firstly, the battery is under the tank. Turn the key in the seat release on the sub frame, the back of the seat should pop up, if it doesn't, put a finger under the back and pull up while turning the key. Then lift the seat up a bit and pull backwards to clear the seat from where it hooks under the tank. With the seat off look under it an you should find a prop for the tank, undo the clip near the ignition key and lift the front of the tank, this rotates on the hinge, and the put the prop in.

Tank opens like a car bonnet. On the left there is a long piece of metal to hold it up (just like car bonnet again). You need to remove the seat first.
