hi all! couple oh questions really

ok so this is my first post, im mike from hampshire im probably going to upset you all now by saying i have a ducati monster 600 dark in horid yellow/black (soon will look good) as a work horse and a heavily modified bandit 750 summer ride/show bike! now i love the duke as its loud.....has no power....but looks good and i will be getting an s4r because i just love monsters but i need the power!

enough of that as im going on abit lol i just need to know, the bar thingy on the swingarm then up to rear shock linkage.......can it be removed perminantly as the bike is tooooo low for me! i have put jack up things in etc and its still too low! hopefully you can see a pic of me bikes below and i look forward to hearing from you! (if i havent ****ed you off)

Welcome to Ducatisti!

Very nice work on that Bandit. Very, very nice!!!!

There is bound to be someone on here who can help you with the ride height issue.

hi suzzzzz ( sorry car,nt say it )

do yo want to remove the hoop ? or replace it ? if you remove it the back end will colapse ( you,ll allready know this ) but in theory you could replace it with anything of the same profile but longer
, the handling will be " Different " but you can raise a back end as high as you want !! i once made some dogbones for my busa lifted the back end , it looked the bizz , nearly killed me , so off they came

"Spike "

You can buy jack-up kits for monsters with hoops. They replace the rose joints and give a little more than an inch higher. They're easy to fit.

Ahh just looking at the pic. A couple of struts could be made to lift that, the central alum casting would require narrowing by 2 times metal thickness of what you use, but good 6mm dural, looking at approx 25/30mm between centres looks about right. I could be talking out of my rear but just a first observation, looks doable.

hi all, me again! well couple weeks ago the ducati **** itself and snapped the chain (was well oiled) and has put a nice big hole in the crank case and side case, also as engine stopped dead may have bent con rods/internal damage! so how easy is it to drop a 750 lump in it???? what are the costs involved...if to much i may break it depending on damage!

regards, mike
