Cush Drive
Hi just got a M600 as a winter bike but just gone to adjust the chain and noticed some play in the cush drive (about 3-4mm wheel movement) anybody tell me if they are U/S or still good for a while???

3-4mm of play in the cush drive rubbers? Is that measuring the play with the wheel out, and moving the sprocket carrier on the bare wheel? If so thats MILES too much.......and you need new rubbers.

i replaced the cush drive rubbers on my ducati , mine cost £32.70 plus vat from jhp, the problem i had was getting the old ones out, I didnt want to knock it out as you cant get directly behind it to drift it out cleanly, I made a tool to draw them out, It worked great and never damaged the wheel at all,
If you have a problem getting the old ones out i will post you the tool as i doubt i will use it again and even if i did i can just make another one.
the new rubbers just went in easily

Crikey -are they supposed to be that tight that you need a drift to knock them out ? Mine justlift straight out of the sprocket no force required at all

On a Monster Gav? On the Monsters and SS's, they seem to be so tight in their seats you just cant shift them.....might be the steel bushes pressurising the rubber against the wheel though.....
