Is There Something Missing.??

I was giving the Monster a clean at the weekend (First Time) and I noticed a small gold unit located just above the engine it has what look like vacuum pipes fitted the problem is it has a spur with no pipe attached. Is this correct ?? Sorry to be so vague

I will try and post a picture tonight ..

Hmm, sounds like the spigot take-off doodaa for balancing carbs. Is the 2002 monster carbed?

As a matter of intrest, If you have the bike running see if there is positive or negitive pressure from the spigot. If there is chanches are there is something missing

it might be the fuel pressure regulator and it has no pipe attached to it.

It IS the fuel pressure regulator.
It doesnt need the vaccum pipe attached to it as it isnt used on that system.
They are made for other applications too, hence why the there is provision for a pipe to be attached.
