Strange Noise from 620ie Monster when switched off?

When parking my wife's 2005 6201e monster last night I noticed the bike making a noise after I switched it off and removed the key. I can only discribe it as sounding like a tone when you press a key on a mobile phone, it was very faint and sounded for a couple of seconds every 10 seconds, it appeared to be comming from underneath the tank. The bike is totally standard with no after market alarm, I don't know how long it's been doing it as it was so faint it may always have....Has anyone else had this happen on their bike?

Bike: 2003 Ducati Multistrada 1000DS

It's probably the sound of petrol vapour escaping from the breather.

Don't think it's petrol vapour through a vent pipe as it was too consistant in time.

Bike: Ducati 998s Mono Final Edition in red and carbon; 1098s about to be ordered

Mine quite often "squeeks" for want of a better description after a run - I put it down to pressure in the tank escaping slowly...

It's not a whistling noise, it's an electrical tone.

Is it the same noise that you get when you switch the ignition on?

Also consider the voltage regulator thing under the seat. It might be just the system defusing electricity.

Mine make a lot of cracking noises after a blat as it cools down Means I've done my job property.

No, it's not the same noise as you get when you switch the ignition on, it's very like the tone of a mobile phone when you press a key.
