Spand adjuster levers for Monster 620
I've just been quoted 110 a pop + 2 hrs labour @ 52ph
Is that standard pricing for such faire?

Hi,
If i couldn't fit a pair of levers and adjust them in less than 1/2 an hour,
i think i'd need shooting.
The levers must be something really special to be £110 a pop .
Did they have strippy jumpers,a mask and have a bag with swag wrote on it?
Steve

Don't forget, Steve, that this is London, full of cowboys. They get away with it, as us Londoners don't have the time or the garages to tinker any longer, so we don't know how to do things or how long it should take.

A pair of pattern levers are about £20, and fitting them takes no more than 15-20 minutes the pair. You're definately being bent over a barrel.......

It looks like they are having to replace the master cylinder as well. So it's not just the lever.
Still seems rather dear though.

Just beware of what you're getting 'cos you'll probably find that the replacement clutch lever won't have the necessary 'finger' underneath to activate the safety cutout switch.
Hope I'm wrong as I've been trying to find some for my wife's 620i.e. Monster and have so far drawn a blank (See previous threads).
As for fitting, it's a doddle and less than 30 minutes to complete. You only need a 19mm spanner; just watch that you don't lose the pin from inside the brake lever that activates the brakelight switch.

What year is your Monster? Ours is a 2004 Matrix and I received a reply from the seller on eBay this morning saying they wouldn't fit
Terracotta?

LOL, yes Terracota.
Damn! Should have done that myself. Appearing again soon on an ebay near you
Back to the drawing board then.
Bret from Daytona reckons that he might be able to heat and bend them as it transpires that even the span adjustable ones probably won't be enough. Sounds like the only option left

Hmm,...I wonder why they would'nt fit?
Brembo have been making the 'matchbox' type master cylinder for years(if that is what you have fitted?).Is it because of the required peg for the clutch switch?

pazzo levers
I fitted a set of pazzo adjustable span levers on my wifes 620 and it took all of 10 min and they have the bit to operate the clutch switch. The cost was £130 all in. If you want you could fit brembo adjustable levers from a 916 and the bike will be fine it will not start in gear even if the clutch is pulled in unless you bridge the switch wires but then if it is in gear and the clutch is not pulled in it will take off.
So highly recomened pazzo levers.

You may find there is an adjusting screw in the standard levers. It acts directly on the push rod and normally has the screwdriver slot filled with glue. Should be able to un screw to bring the biting point in. Although the home position of the lever is still the same place it does make it easier to squeeze.
Worth having a look and see, means you don't have to get some bling.
This is on Lucy's M600
