Monster 620 -Swingarm pivot obscured?

Went to use my new Abba stand on Mrs.H's Monster for the first time today and I can't get it to fit because access to the swing-arm pivot point is blocked by a rubber hose. Is this the same on all Monster 620s?

Sorted - it is a bit stiff but I have managed to twist the hose round out of the way
