handlebar question

Hi everyone,

Thanks for this great forum!

I'm in Australia, and have a 2004 800 Monster. I love the bike, but would be slightly more comfortable with a more upright riding position. Any recommendations about a change of handlebars etc...

Thanks so much,

Alex

You could fit some handlebar clamp risers and use the same bars, possibly the easiest way to do it.
They come as spacers and longer bolts or a complete new set of clamps.

If you don't mind the looks, you could swap for something a bit more comfortable.
A guy at work has a mongrel 600 that he fitted higher bars to and it makes for a much more relaxed ride.

M & P - Search Results I would have thought there was someplace similar to M&P over there?

Most likely, your electrics cables should be long enough to accomodate but you may need longer clutch and brake cables if you go too high. You will also need a new pair of handlebar grips as it's nigh on impossible to remove the left one without damaging it. A bit of hairspray will ease the new one on.
