ALL posibilities on De-cat pipe

As the title suggests really, I'm already coming very close to my first service on Scarlett, and would like to if possible incorparate getting a De-cat pipe fitted at the same time.

The reason that I'm not going for a can change is because, as I had my old bike nicked 3 weeks ago, I don't want to draw to much attention to a new bike being there for as long as possible, and I would like to keep my bike as stock as possible, just with a better sound.
I test rode a S2R 800 a couple of months back and that just had a De-cat pipe fitted and it sounded lovely, but the tickover was the same as standard, it only changed when over 2500 revs, which is where you want it, so I don't wake up the neighbours when I go to work early.Plus a De-cat would be a LOT cheaper than a set of cans.

So any and all suggestions are welcome.

I am sorry Montana but I can only suggest a set of temis or other sport exhaust and de-cat pipe. Nothing else. Your bike is not the cheapest around and that is why it is a good grab so not putting cans for that reason is not a reason. People who nick them for order or parts also know it's value and children take anything easy for a ride so secure the garage!!!

Montana, how old is your S2R? The 2007 models have got a lambda sensor and as far as I am aware, only a Ducati Performance decat pipe will work. Even that may not be possible - you would have to check with the dealer. They only list decat pipes for pre 2007 bikes .
If it's a 2006 model, or earlier, there are a couple of options - see the Ducati parts & accessories in UK, monster specialist, Italian motorcyle parts, buy online from SPARESHACK -worldwide shipping service at very affordable prices website

The thing that worries me most about a De-cat pipe is that is fuel and general engine running is as good if not better than before.
Is there a updated chip that can work with a de-cat pipe/performance exhaust that doesn't cost the earth and suits my requirements ? OR am I going to have to spend over a £1100 for Termi's and filter with new chip ?

Just a little update.

Looks as though the 2007 S2R, is THE most expensive to do anything exhaust wise, I will explain further.
Mentioned above is the 2007 S2R is the ONLY year (and the last year of manufacturer) that has a lambda sensor and this is the all important connecting piece to the exhaust saga.If I were to buy a de-cat pipe, I would also have to buy a race ECU, and the combined cost without fitting is about £800 , BUT it seems that you can't buy the race ECU separately, SO, you have to buy the end can kit AND the de-cat pipe together, which is not what I wanted, but it's the ONLY way to get the fuelling right, because the race ECU cuts out the lambda sensor and makes it redundant.Little did I know that the ECU (race version I have been told) costs between £500-600, can anyone tell me why it's so much, other than Ducati can charge as much as they like for it because you are a captive audience ?

So, after all this, there is little to no chance this is going to get done for a very long time, I must admit this is very sadening to me, and a little strange as earlier models didn't need this.

Also, other exhaust manufacturers don't have the ECU, so thats why they don't list the 2007 model.

If anyone has anyexplanations and/or reasons behind this I would be trully grateful.

I have finally given in and decided to go for DP Termi exhausts, ECU and decat pipe. It is the easier option. My preference would have been for stainless steel or titanium exhausts but that option is not really poss at the moment. I now owe an arm and a leg to pay for the cans.
