Looking for more Durable Tyres for my Monster S2R?

Hi. It's time to buy a pair of new tyres again and I'm looking for something a bit more durable, currently using Bridgestone BT14 great tyres but the rear one has only done 3K miles and is as good as finished. I'm not looking for something to last forever but maybe nearer 6K out a rear tyre would be nice.Who's using what tyres and where to buy from?

The problem is that the longer lasting a tyre is, the harder it is, and this generally means it has less grip. My S2R came fitted with Pirelli Diablos and I swear by them. They are also the only tyre we are allowed to use in DD so we race on them. I get about 4K miles out of a set, so a reasonable compromise between grip and mileage.

Might be worth trying the new bridgestone 021's. The rear is duel compound with softer edges.

Had Pirelli Diablos on the Monster, but am now running Road Pilot 2s and rate them very highly.

tyres

hi
conti sport attacks, road attacks for more mileage , warm quick last well ,use them on 2 bikes .pilot 2s that the monster came with are great but think I'll be using the conti's next as well . if you only use the bike weekends then most sport tyres are ok ,but if you ride daily in the rain and crap ,then it has to be sport touring of some description.

As a sort of follow on in this thread, any recommendations on where to buy either Pilot 2's or Diablos? I was going to get Luigi to fit them at the next service so just a postal service will do.
Cheers

And not following on at all to the theme of this thread, any recommendations for TV Tuner Recording HDD box VCR replacement thing for under the telly?
