Unhappy Hello - new member - new S4R S

This is just a "hello" - no replies necessary.
I have just traded in my BMW R1100 GS after 11 months of ownership and some 17,000 miles around the UK and western Europe. I am now the proud owner of a Monster S4R S Tricolore after a test ride which had me smiling after just the first few seconds. I was ready for a change of bike but this is such a change it is hard to express in words: the handling is superb, the acceleration (even at a running in limit of 6,000 rpm) is awesome, and the sound ... I am a happy man. My only problem? Getting used to the idea that luggage is a tooth brush, mobile phone and a credit card and I am beginning to realise that this is not a problem at all but a new freedom.

the best And if it dosn't fit into a man-bag, you don't need it

Brought mine into town today - what a laugh! The sound bouncing off the urban canyon was all the entertainment needed.

Bike: bike ducati s4rs

bike

hi
i had a gs adv for a few years ,great bike ,but never fast enough, they have more +points than -points. anyway the s4rs is great . everything now needs to be tied down better, emmm , dry bag on back of seat with a press buckle strap 2X. kriega back pack also . the ducati feels tiny ,but much faster. still own a bmw r1200s. which feels huge . the ducati is more nimble all round . had to put a damper on the steering because it can get scary at speed .

Bike: S4R....Red

Welcome dude. I ran a GS adventurer for 12 months, slow but awesome at everything else, including being stupidly heavy.
You'll love all this, loads of info etc from some very experienced and wise people (I dont include myself in this)
Lots things to bolt on and add to your beastie
Have fun

Welcome aboard Ross.

I loved my S4RS so much when I bought it in June that I thought about selling my 1098s, but then I came to my senses
