My S4R

Hi,

This all happened a bit quickly. 1st I decided that my old 7R was getting too uncomfortable for commuting. Then seeing as I had a bored moment at work, and I'd always liked the Monsters looks, I do a quick search on MCN & Autotrader to see whats available. I find a good deal on a S4R and a week later its mine.. it only started as a 'I wonder..'

anyway here it is..

things to do,

stripe kit - this is a early model
crash bungs - been mentioned as useful - as has
belly pan
Hugger - I have always fitted Huggers to bikes, essential, but there are none available on the used market at the mo..

cheers Jason

Nice one, but don't forget to get a De Cat pipe as well.

Nice bike, love the black, its a good colour.

does the decat also make more noise - this thing is already too loud. also, does it affect the running, wouldnt want to interfere with any fueling settings..

Kenloen, thats not my bike!! Just used it as an illustration....wish it was tho!!

I have an S4 that has hi level Termis and it is bleedin loud. It has a race ecu and air filter along with the top of the air box removed. The S4 was pre cat so cannot really comment on the fuelling issue.
Having said that, up until recently I owned a Multistrada 1000DS that was fitted with a cat and full standard pipes. It muffles the Ducati sound quite a bit. My mate had a Multi 1000SDS with Termis, ecu and a decat pipe fitted at the dealers who set up the whole thing for him. It ran much smoother than mine and had a bit more grunt without the sound being offensive.

Regards,

Spike
