1000 miles/smiles

Clocked up a thousand miles on the monster today coming to work.
The new hugger is keeping the sh*t off the shock, the lean angles are increasing and the front wheel seems to be getting allergic to the road.....why does it do that..
Glitzy clutch bling and the stubby exhaust are next on the list, along with (eventually) tidying up the rear end.

lifes great eh.......

Funny that I clocked up nearly 1000 miles yesterday on my 1098, i.e. I drove from Schleswig Holstein to Somerset, well it was 900 miles there on Monday and another 900 back today.

I had a great time, but wouldn't advise it with the lower 1098 screen, the higher lift screen is a must. I currently have the neck muscles of an Ox, 180mph on an Autobahn with the standard screen isn't that comfortable, it looks much better than the high screen though IMHO.

I know what you mean...one of the first mods I did to the 848 was a double bubble screen. It made a huge difference. I didnt mind the look either, I prefered it to the slightly higher screen.

I only just changed it back from the high screen to the standard one after the I Famosi tour to Brno and Germany.
I'll keep it that way for just now, but you get a lot more protection from the high lift screen.
