Very very nice monster.....so wish I had the cash to get the RS.

One question tho, did you fit a power commander or a DP ECU to get the timing / fuelling right?

Does the bike have an open air box?

I am still trying to suss out my exhaust options and need some help.

At the moment I am contemplating the following:
  • FULL DP system 50mm - Costs a sh*t load and will have to wait till next year, but no risk or arsing around with dyno time etc.
  • De-cat pipe, termi end cans (or Arrow, Zard, Sil) no Air box mod - should not need any alterations to fuelling etc, much lower costs but no performance benefit just added roar.
  • Full Arrow system, Power Commander or DP ECU and dyno time setting up - not sure what the overral cost would be once you factor in dyno time etc etc.
Cant say I have found any other options apart from the obvious do nothing!

Reallly worried about warranty, also heard some horror stories about engines running lean and burning holes in pistons etc.

I might post this seperatly as I wonder if anyone else has done anything completly different.

Rich.

i also am confused about the exhaust options..

i've herd different opinions about fitting termi's..

i don't really want the power benefits.. don't really want to mess with the ecu.. all i want is just a little more "boom boom boom" from the cans..

can i fit just some termi mufflers? will that do the job ?

yu can just fit slip on's but yu will still get no extra power just a bit of noise.... get rid of the cat and unleash the beast within !!!

Question S4RS pipes

I have just purchased the same bike in pearl............. looks a zillion dollars in the right light,
I'm also confused about the exhausts options as the std are very schhhhhhhhhhh.
they do not do Justice to the overhaul look and feel of the bike.
The ones to go for do away with the cat but are mega bucks, theres a set of certified carbon cans listed £500 cheaper which look good and one at £450 slip on silencer which looks very short and dumpy.
What to go for any recommendations?
I want an increase in power not just noise.
